SESSION INFORMATION
​The Trust Technique method takes only two sessions to learn. ​
First session (90 min): ​
The first session will take place at your location with your animal present at a quiet time of the day and in a (mostly) trigger-free environment.​
​We will work with one animal - if there's more than one
animal, which one is determined in the pre-session phone call.
​
Other animals can be present during our session but will
not be focused upon (they will benefit nevertheless).
​
As for humans present, I will tutor one person only, though one extra human from the animals' family/ care team can be there and learn by listening and observing. ​
Keanu's first Trust Technique session
​​In this first 90-minute session you will learn about the Trust Technique itself: its foundation, the theory behind it, and how it works.
Then I will demonstrate the method directly with your animal as you observe.
Next step, I will teach the method to you. Lastly, I’ll guide you in applying what you just learned directly to working with your animal yourself, for the first time.
After this first session, you will then practice at home with your animal for a few weeks until you are both ready to move on to the next step in the Trust Technique Method.
​​Second session (60 min) :
After you’ve practiced for a few weeks, I will come back and we’ll work with your animal directly on triggers, or on skills you would like your animal to acquire.
​​You will learn all you need to know in these two sessions. The rest is practice.
​
​​During your free phone consultation, I will give you more
detailed information, and answer any questions you may have.
​
More sessions can be booked for extra guidance and support.
​
​Booking is done via phone only (no online booking).
Special Considerations
​
​​In some cases, such as with very aggressive or extremely withdrawn animals, additional sessions might be necessary in order to have me work with your animal first while you observe. I am basically taking your animal to a level you can then take over from once you have learned the Trust Technique method in my two tutorial sessions.
These additional preliminary sessions are only necessary in very extreme cases.
